Scholarship Application
ORLANDO (FL) ALUMNI CHAPTER OF KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY, INC.
Dear Graduating Senior:
Congratulations on being a member of the graduating Class of 2024! You and your family should be extremely proud of achieving this major milestone in your academic journey. As you prepare to transition from high school to college, we are excited to announce a scholarship opportunity designed with you in mind.
The Orlando Alumni Chapter (OAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, will award eligible African-American males in the Greater Orlando Area Schools scholarships to help defray the cost of rising tuition and expenses associated with college attendance. We will award eligible applicants from our annual Ernest R. Humphries Memorial Scholarship. The fraternity will award these scholarships to local high school seniors who reside in or attend a school in Orange County and have plans to pursue post-secondary education.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher, submit an application, a scanned copy of the official high school transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a brief essay highlighting extracurricular/work activities and any honors and awards received career aspirations, and how the scholarship will be used to meet a financial need to supplement your college expenses.
Best Wishes,
Daxton Barkley,
Chair, (OAC) Scholarship Committee
